Madeleine Cag, resident blogger and Tiombe Carter, resident blogger in training: New York City, New York; Madeleine is an attorney working for the first time at a company, not a law firm. Another first for me is that after ten years of working in New York City, I am now in the rural NJ suburbs and feeling out of touch. I am keeping up with this blog to keep current by observing the legal community as the practice of law changes in fundamental ways. Tiombe (below) is transitioning into being a more regular presence on this blog. I am a solo practitioner with a general practice. I help clients in the mid-Hudson Valley and the NY metro area so I have the opportunity to observe the practice of law in small communities and large urban settings. My practice is diverse and I am privileged to work with with individuals, small businesses, as well as nonprofit organizations. I’m also deeply interested in ethics within legal profession and the role of integrity on the broader community.
